Randy’s Mission

On June 9, 2012 I will strike out on foot from my house to the State House to deliver a handwritten letter to Senator Peter S. Brunstetter.  Amendment One has created thousands of stories across North Carolina, each begging to be heard.  I hope to achieve the following goals:

  1. To deliver as many of these stories as possible to Raleigh and give them to Senator Brunstetter in person.

  2. To talk to as many people as possible during the walk, listen to their stories and serve as a letter carrier for them if they can’t make the journey themselves.

  3. To inspire walkers, bikers, drivers from across the state to make the journey to Raleigh in whatever way they can and to serve as letter carriers for their friends and family who are unable to travel there themselves.

  4. To solicit sponsors (corporate and private) in order to raise as much money as possible for a North Carolina charity (TBA).

  5. To obtain as many copies of letters as possible, from people who would like to share their stories for possible publication with all proceeds going to a North Carolina charity (TBA).

Many North Carolinians have been wounded by Amendment One.

I want Raleigh to know who we are.
